During the COVID-19 pandemic, Palm Tree Family Therapy is offering online TeleTherapy services for Wisconsin residents experiencing mental health, substance abuse, or relationship problems while staying #saferathome. The process is identical to in person therapy, but the therapy sessions are held over the Internet with family therapist Joe Leonard, MS, LMFT-T. TeleHealth therapy requires a secure Internet connection with good audio/video functionality. We use a HIPAA compliant TeleTherapy interface through the TheraNest electronic health record. Clients are asked to use this service from a safe, secure, and private space, for compliance with HIPAA laws. For new clients, the intake process is the same. Clients are invited to an online portal to complete intake and insurance paperwork confidentially through the TheraNest electronic health record.
